An exciting and varied role in which you, together with your colleagues from the IT & DevOps team, provide the necessary support to our internal employees (both Belgium and the Netherlands) and customers (where necessary). We’re offering you a challenging job with the opportunity to work together, to search for the best solutions and to implement them.

As Junior IT Support Engineer, you’ll work in an entrepreneurial and ambitious team of a sales driven organization. You’ll work mainly from our Ghent office (Ghelamco Arena). Occasionally you’ll work from MeetDistrict Berchem (depending on IT needs).

Your Role

As a Junior IT Support Engineer you…

  • Are responsible for the 1st line support of our employees for IT questions or problems within a wide range (devices, O365, applications, printers, client logins, …).
  • Are the central point of contact for our employees for all IT-related questions.
  • Follow-up on various reports from our IT systems (e.g. firewall) and consult with your colleagues on the best solutions. Where necessary, you escalate the incident to the appropriate person.
  • Manage our systems and devices with the necessary care and attention.
  • Technically support various applications (e.g. SalesForce, …) and the DevOps team where necessary (e.g. performing monthly server updates, Pen tests, …).
  • Install, maintain and monitor hardware and software programs so the team can perform their tasks worry-free.

As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you have…

  • A graduate or bachelor degree in an IT-related field, or equal via experience.
  • A first relevant experience in IT support, like internships, a first job, …
  • A good basic understanding of IT, such as operating systems, cloud (Azure & Virtual Infrastructures), networks, security, applications (O365, …) and a strong motivation to learn more about this.
  • A positive attitude.

But also you

  • Are communicatively strong in both Dutch and English (speaking and writing), and you do not let working under pressure get you down.
  • Are eager to learn, and ambitious to evolve with the further growth of our company.
  • Are flexible, both in terms of tasks and time allocation. Where necessary you support your colleagues with questions, issues, …
  • Are open to feedback from your senior colleagues so that you can grow in your job.

And last but not least you

  • Set the right priorities (in consultation with your colleagues).
  • Quickly think up solutions to IT questions, issues, … If necessary, you consult your colleagues and build on their input to achieve a good result.
