THE CHALLENGE

Bechtle, one of Europe’s leading IT companies, employs over 16,000 people and operates across multiple countries, each with its own systems, processes, and learning needs. Ashley Wieferink, Learning & Organizational Development specialist at Bechtle, supports the learning needs of Bechtle’s international community by creating digital learning that is relevant and practical to local employees.

Supporting this international workforce requires training that is effective across diverse cultures, roles, and languages. The International People & Organizational Development team (IPOD), dedicated to the international community, needed a way to create e-Learning that could be personalized to each country’s business processes, language, and time availability, while keeping development efficient and scalable.

The IPOD team chose FLOWSPARKS because it provides greater flexibility for multilingual training and better supports the localized, learner-focused approach needed across countries.

Ashley had a clear vision: to create tailor-made learning experiences that truly make an impact. Learning measures that leverage internal expertise and are closely aligned with organizational needs and objectives. The goal was to put learners in control, so they feel empowered and connected, with a strong sense of belonging to a learning community. To turn this vision into reality, IPOD set out to find a solution that would:

At the same time, the remote SCORM feature enables instant updates to be rolled out to their LMS system.

Before FLOWSPARKS, Bechtle had to rely on live workshops or webinars to demonstrate systems, for example. Now, employees complete interactive e-Learning before the workshop, so live sessions can focus on practice and real application.

Thanks to the TASKSTEPS didactic template in FLOWSPARKS, Bechtle can create realistic simulations of its software and workflows. Workshops are now hands-on, focusing on how each local team uses the system in their daily work.

Empowering Subject Matter Experts to create content

Local Subject Matter Experts play a key role in building the e-Learning content. FLOWSPARKS’ didactic templates enable them to easily capture their expertise and tailor it to their audience, without needing instructional design knowledge.
