Attentia offers Telenet
the right e-Learning tool

Attentia - Customer Case

Attentia, the HR and Well-being partner, has been processing Telenet’s payroll for 20 years now. Since 2018, Attentia has also handled the well-being aspect for the organisation. With an increasing number of new employees per year, it is becoming more and more important to offer the newcomers at Telenet proper training in the field of occupational health and safety.

Health & Safety training

In 2019 alone, Telenet welcomed 300 new employees. An educationally robust and practical system was needed to better train new employees in everything related to Health & Safety. ‘Until recently, new colleagues were immersed in a very interesting and fascinating presentation of some 50 slides, under the guidance of the people from Health & Safety,’ says Guy Van Hauwermeiren, Business Manager at Attentia. ‘But you can never really be sure that the participants have actually learned something after such an introductory session.’ Telenet therefore instructed Attentia to find a more effective way to train new colleagues.

‘Three criteria were certainly important for Telenet,’ Guy Van Hauwermeiren says. ‘First of all, the new tool needed to be accessible and always digitally available. Secondly, it had to be based on solid educational foundations. Thirdly, they wanted to be able to monitor the progress of the learning process to ensure that the newcomers were actually learning something.’

A good result through co-creation

Attentia searched the e-Learning market and contacted a number of parties. A number of criteria were also very important for Attentia in the selection of the partner. ‘We wanted to be a sort of broker between the platform and our customers,’ Guy Van Hauwermeiren explains. ‘The second criterion was the educational robustness of the solution, but integration capabilities were also important to us. We offer our customers DOTS, our own HR and Well-being platform, so we looked for a solution that could be integrated over time. We also have a number of other large customers who have their own LMS (Learning Management System), so the module also needs to be compatible with those systems.’ FLOWSPARKS met all the conditions, and so Attentia soon made its choice.

Attentia wanted to develop a system that was not only tailored to Telenet, but could also be used for other large customers. To make this possible, the people of Attentia, FLOWSPARKS, Telenet, the Cronos Group and Adecco put their heads together during three workshops. The result of this co-creation was a Health & Safety learning module with which all parties involved are satisfied.

With the right motivation, you will easily achieve great results

Thanks to the FLOWSPARKS’ Customer Success Coaches, our people learn to create e-Learning modules themselves and we see that they develop the skills quickly. With the right motivation you can achieve great results in a very short time, without too much support from the FLOWSPARKS team.

Training and certification

The Health & Safety module consists of three parts. In the first part, participants are welcomed and in a short introduction they are given an overview of the course. The second part deals with topics such as safety, ergonomics and the psychosocial aspects of work. Multiple-choice questions with immediate feedback, clickable hotspots, drag-and-drop answers and other interactive forms make the learning process varied and exciting.

Only when participants have completed the second part they will have access to the last part: the evaluation and award of their certificate. The evaluation consists of ten questions, and once they have answered these, the participants will see their score and can request a certificate of participation. Both Attentia itself and Attentia’s customers can check which employees have obtained the certificate and whether or not they did so within the proposed time limit.

Cooperation with the FLOWSPARKS team

According to Guy Van Hauwermeiren, the great strength of FLOWSPARKS is the solid educational support with the many learning methods that can be offered. ‘We at Attentia firmly believe that e-Learning is the right choice for our customers and their employees and that this will only increase given the current situation with COVID-19,’ he concludes.

‘For this first time, we got full support from FLOWSPARKS,’ Guy Van Hauwermeiren says. ‘Thanks to the FLOWSPARKS’ Customer Success Coaches, our people learn to create e-Learning modules themselves and we see that they develop the skills quickly. With the right motivation you can achieve great results in a very short time, without too much support from the FLOWSPARKS team.’
